“Move It or Lose It” sessions take place on Mondays from 2pm until 3pm, giving older adults the chance to improve fitness, mobility and wellbeing in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The class is suitable for all abilities and focuses on gentle movement and exercises aimed at helping people stay strong, flexible and independent, while also providing a great social opportunity to meet others in the community. The first class is completely free for anyone who wants to give it a go.

Book lovers are invited to a new monthly social gathering at the Red Lion with the launch of Vic and Tash’s Book and Wine Club. The club will meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 8pm, offering a relaxed evening where members can chat about the books they’ve been reading while enjoying a drink. There’s no set reading list. Instead, everyone is encouraged to bring along a book they’ve read recently and tell the group all about it. Whether it’s a gripping thriller, a heartwarming romance, a fascinating biography or a classic novel, every recommendation is welcome. The organisers say the club is perfect for anyone who enjoys books, conversation and a bit of gossip in a friendly atmosphere. Vic and Tash’s Book and Wine Club takes place on the third Wednesday of each month at 8pm at the Red Lion. New members are welcome to come along and join in.
